July 31st, 2013 by re-admin

This year’s Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity home build starts on Saturday, August 17th in Greer at 8 am. If you’ve never participated in a Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity home, now’s your opportunity to be a part of an exciting experience. There are specified build dates from August 17th to October 26th, and the “Home Dedication” on Sunday October 3rd. Check the Thrivent Builds display in the Narthex for specific build dates and sign up! And don’t forget to sign the 2 x 4’s in the Narthex as they will be part of the home’s structure. See Doug or Missy Logan for specific details, and, thanks for participating.

To sign up for a particular work day, visit Volunteer Hub online.

Tools: Each volunteer needs to bring work gloves whenever possible. Many volunteers also bring tools such as their favorite hammer, a nail apron, pencil, and tape measure.

  • Closed-toed, flat-soled shoes only (tennis shoes, work boots, etc.)
  • Do not wear clothing that is so loose that it could easily get snagged on the build site
  • Wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty
